Summary
NIIT requires a highly motivated Business Analyst to help manage client implementations, product development and enhancement, and support. Our client implementation relies on a complex architecture integrating data across multiple systems in order to deliver performance reporting and analytics to various investment management constituencies. The ideal candidate will be capable of understanding and interpreting business requirements related to performance reporting and analytics, and will also be well versed in data management and ETL strategies. This role requires interfacing with internal solutions and business teams, sales teams, clients, and vendors, and as such, good communication skills are critical to success. A background in fund and portfolio performance measurement or operations is preferred, but emphasis will be placed on proficiency with data, experience with relational database models and big data technologies, problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
Work with the business and solutions teams to execute on product strategy and prioritize development work
Review and understand business requirements provided by internal and external clients
Create and document complete and detailed technical specifications for all client implementations, product enhancements, and other projects
Work with vendors as required to ensure optimal solutions development
Work with the Performance development team to ensure proper architecture of technical solutions and review and test implementation
Work with other Solutions teams to ensure proper integration of Performance data into other IMS products, especially reporting tools
Act as first line of support for operations teams and clients by troubleshooting problems and identifying solutions
Support and educate operations teams and other internal clients on the IMS Performance solution
As required, support the sales team and help drive adoption and client engagement with IMS Performance solution
Stay abreast of current industry developments and system enhancements
Position Requirements
M.S./B.S./B.A. in Business, Analytics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science or another related discipline
5+ years experience in BA role in financial services (and preferably operations)
Experience with fund and portfolio Performance and Analytics preferred
Experience with MS SQL required, experience with big data technologies a plus
Experience with python and R
Experience with Business Intelligence tools like Tableau and Qlik a plus
Project management experience
Team player
Detail oriented
Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable in fast-moving and high-pressure environment
Solutions oriented thinker with strong problem solving skills
Individual who takes initiative ownership of assigned responsibilities
