Job Description
Environment Build work flow:
1. Requests for new environments for their
project - DEV & SIT (other release environments viz. BRT, Pre-Prod, Prod
& TRN already exist and shared among all releases)
2. If existing DEV/SIT environments can't be
utilised then Infra team builds new environment using following steps:
2.1 Procure/arrange new h/w as per
the requested Pega/CMD products and design documents.
2.2 Setup the h/w with required OS
(RHEL/Windows), Software (JBOSS/Oracle/IIS/.NET 4.5)
2.3 Do basic configuration with
DocStore for file handling to/from RIO
2.4 Handover the requested
environment to the requestor.
3. Liases with development/deployment/Release
Configuration teams to apply application specific configuration and clone the
newly built environment with last live build.
Technologies/Products Involved:
JBOSS, Informatica, Oracle 12 RAC, .NET 4.5,
IIS 8.5, Dynatrace (for monitoring). Currently the total servers consists Linux
& Windows and number over 200
Existing environments:
Production, Pre-Production, BRT, SIT (multiple
integration environments for different phases), Production Support, Training
and DEV
For every environment delivery, he/she needs to
interact and coordinate with multiple teams (Infra, Configuration, Project,
Test & Support) involved to make it usable for projects to carry out
development/testing/release. Needs a thorough understanding of SDLC.
