Job Description
Title: Junior HR Assistant
Experience Level: 0-2 years in HR
Location: Atlanta, GA (NIIT Tech North American HQ in Dunwoody, GA)
The Junior HR Assistant will partner with business leaders and employees to provide HR
services in a proactive and solution oriented manner and aligned with the
business strategy for assigned client groups. You will
be responsible for providing active support of the Service Organization
(approximately 200 employees) in the following areas: Employee relations,
performance management, training, talent development, compensation and general
support. This position reports to Sr. Senior Manager – HR.
Primary Responsibilities
Employee Orientation and Onboarding :
Initiate the employee onboarding for assigned client group(s). Duties
include acting as point-person on-boarding plans of new hires and SAP
maintenance, E-Verify and Benefits Enrollment. Assist managers in writing and
maintaining job descriptions.
Training : Coordinating training needs in
the organization in conjunction with the HR and Business team (Specifically
help with Localization and act as conduit with offshore/Delivery
coordination).
Talent Development : Drive identified
staffing actions for assigned client groups, consult with and train management
to create employee development and succession plans to improve bench strength
and achieve Talent Review objectives.
Employee Relations: Assist employee in day
to day HR operations and respond to employee queries and concern in timely
manner. Investigate (interview, gather evidence, consult legal)
allegations of employee misconduct including harassment, discrimination,
etc. Guide management on disciplinary and termination
procedures. This also includes Leave Management, Expenses, Relocation,
employee events and other related matters. Engage Manager-HR as
needed for advice and counsel.
Performance Management: Establish and drive
applicable goals and competencies aligned with the Performance Management
process. Work with managers and Employees to identify and address
performance related issues. Adhere to timelines for Performance Planning and
Development Process
Drive the Corporate initiatives such as Role
Change, Mentoring, IDP, Role Model Project stories
Coordinate unemployment responses and
maintain HR files and E-Verify system.

• Bachelor’s degree
required; preferably in HR, Business Management or other related discipline
• Strong computer
skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
Qualifications

communication skills (verbal and written)
• Executive
presence required for effective interactions with senior members of the Service
team
• Demonstrate a
sense of urgency
• Ability and
flexibility to work in a distributed workforce
