Job Description
NIIT is hiring a UX Designer Contractor - to be
expected to create the interaction design and user experience for one of our
customers. This is an especially great opportunity as you’ll get in on the
ground floor of a mobile app redesign project with a customer-facing client in
the hospitality domain. You’ll have the chance to take on significant
responsibility, learn new techniques and contribute to our process. The right
candidate will need a thorough background in Human Centered Design, be able to
explain a portfolio that includes annotated wireframes or working prototype, be
familiar with UCD, have participated in usability testing and have a
willingness to expand beyond the core skill of Interaction Design. Visual
Design or User Research skills are a big plus.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Computer
Interaction, User Experience, Information Design, Industrial Design, or related
degree. Master’s Degree in related field is a plus. Work experience in UX or
related field is a PLUS.
You will need:
Excellent
Interaction design skills utilizing an iterative design approach
Excellent
critical thinking, complex problem solving skills, and analytical approach
Strong
writing, verbal and overall communication skills.
Thorough
approach to all work; a desire to go beyond minimum requirements
Ability
to collaborate with those in other disciplines (graphic design, development,
quality control, business analysts, system analysts, clients).
Familiarity
with user research and usability testing techniques or desire to become
proficient in same.
Proficient
with standard Interaction design applications (Proto.io, Sketch, InVision,
Adobe XD, etc).
Visual
Design skills will be very helpful (Photoshop, Illustrator, Zeplin)
1-3
years of experience in User Experience or related field
A
design portfolio of your work including problem statements, methodology, and
design rationale.

domain expertise within the Travel Transportation domain
