Job Description:
The Technical Services team is responsible for the overall availability, stability, scalability and security of the SEI Wealth Platform and it’s suite of products and services. The SWP Middleware Engineer is a highly motivated resource focused on working hand-in-hand with other technical support, application support, development support, implementation and service teams. This role works in a 24/7/365 highly available, on-call environment.
• Minimum 12+ years of industry experience with 5+ years prior work experience as technical lead (led projects independently)
• Prior experience on Unix/Linux, Apache, Oracle, Weblogic, Websphere in two or more following areas:
o Application production support
o Database Administrator
o Linux /Unix Administrator
o Middleware Administrator
• Strong fundamental knowledge of Linux, Solaris, Java, WebLogic and Apache and IBM WebSphere
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to quickly provide solutions to issues encountered in Production and Pre-Production environments.
• A fast learner with ability to dive into new products and technologies, develop subject matter expertise and drive projects to completion.
• Automation mindset (How to do repeated work in less efforts with automation or new ideas)
• Should have Break the boundary thinking ability
• Excellent Ability to comprehend infrastructure issues
• Ability to guide the team members in Troubleshooting Oracle Weblogic Server performance issues.
• Ability to work seamlessly with other enterprise teams such as Information Security, Compliance and Business Continuity teams to ensure systems are hardened and in compliance with the Corporate and Regulatory guidelines.
• A team player with good written and verbal communication skills that can mentor other members in the production support group.
• ITIL Process knowledge and ability to setup new processes
• Must be an Excellent communicator
• Must have Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and lead the team members
• Work experience with Banking/Finance/Insurance – Desired
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware ESX is a plus.
