Job Description
- Manages business unit expectations of initiatives and projects; ensures success of projects/initiatives by coordinating system and process enhancements and communicating them to the business units and other affected departments before project implementation including train-the-trainer sessions as necessary Creates reports to support quality reviews and to provide management information;
- Advanced knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of a variety of databases including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2
- Advanced knowledge of Universe design
- At least 2 years of experience working with Business Objects
- Develop and/or modify processes to resolve business problems by using IT solutions, includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting business requirements and translating business requirements into functional requirements.
- Significant business experience in financial services, ideally in the Insurance / Broker dealer space
- Proven technical aptitude and understanding of how systems work / integrate with one another
- Proven ability to identify business needs and partner with IT / Vendors to execute against those needs
- Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Understand the Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies and be able to handle multiple projects at different stages
