Job Description

Overview

This role is key to both the transformation efforts
at Insurance clients supported by NIIT Technologies as well as the
transformation of NIIT Technologies’ Insurance Vertical.

An Insurance Principal for NIIT Technologies is a
subject matter expert in insurance operations and the strategies used in the
application of technology to insurance business problems. Approximately 50% of
the Principal’s time will be spent doing pre-sales support and solutioning work
for clients/prospects. In addition, they will work with NIIT’s Insurance
Vertical and Horizontals to develop and refine solutions for our insurance
customers. The other 50% of their time will be spent onsite with clients
facilitating their transformational efforts as well as developing insight into
new opportunities for NIIT.

Key
Functions

Maintain awareness of insurance industry
business and technology trends and issues.

Develop recommendations for how
technology can be applied to transform insurance company operations.

Develop whitepapers and other publications
that provide thought leadership on industry technology issues.

Develop relationships with senior
business and IT leaders in assigned accounts and prospects.

Work closely with sales, Delivery, and
other business areas within NIIT to address customer/prospect needs.

Advise delivery teams and solution teams
on solutions being developed to support business functions in assigned accounts
and prospects.

Engage vertical industry analyst as
assigned to tell the “NIIT Insurance Story”

Advise client management on
transformation projects being undertaken by NIIT.

Required
Skills and Experience

Minimum of 15 years insurance industry
experience involving technology.

Expert business knowledge of at least
two of the following:

Life

Annuity

Supplemental

Personal Lines P C

Commercial Lines P C

Specialty Lines P C

Workers Compensation Insurance

Surety

Prior consulting or service delivery
experience for insurance industry customers.

Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.

Office 365 proficiency

Willingness to travel up to 75% of the
time

Willingness to work onsite at clients
for extended periods.

Desired
Skills and Experience

Prior experience working in a leadership role in an
insurance carrier.
